New Colombo Plan 2018

The Australian Consulate-General was pleased to host the first New Colombo Plan students in New Caledonia on 1 February during a reception that brought together members of business, institutions and civil society. We thank Member of Government for Education Helene Iekawe for joining us at the event.

These students from The University of Queensland spent the last three weeks in New Caledonia undertaking language classes with CREIPAC Language School, Noumea, and research which will contribute to their studies back in Australia. CISaustralia also partnered with the project to facilitate the students’ preparation and has accompanied them throughout their Mobility Project.
